Description

This stable block, located approximately 10 metres to the north-east of Hill House, dates from the early 18th century. It is timber framed, primarily covered in weatherboarding, with part of the rear cement rendered and an end wall made of gault brick in Flemish bond. The roof is covered with handmade red clay tiles. The building is a long range facing southwest and sits at right angles to the road. There is a 20th-century lean-to garage at the right end. The stable block has two storeys, featuring one 18th-century horizontal sash window with 24 lights and one shuttered window on the first floor. There are three halved stable doors and garage doors, and the roof is hipped.
