Description

Park Hall is a house constructed in two phases, during the early 18th century and the early 19th century. The original house now forms the service wing of the larger early 19th-century section. The building is timber-framed, with plastered walls and a roof covered in handmade red clay tiles. It has three bays aligned north-south, with an axial stack at the southern end. It is a single-story building with attics, featuring a gambrel roof. A lean-to extension to the east creates a catslide roof, while a single-story extension to the south has a half-hipped roof at its end. The east elevation incorporates 20th-century casement windows and three gabled dormers; one dormer contains an 18th-century two-light window with diamond-leaded wrought iron casements, and the others have 20th-century casements.

To the north is a larger house, also timber-framed, plastered, and with a slate roof. It has a rectangular plan facing east and end stacks. The house is two stories with attics. A 20th-century two-story extension stands west of the junction, and a 20th-century conservatory is at the north end. The east elevation on the ground floor has two late 19th-century splayed bays. The first floor features five early 19th-century sash windows with marginal lights. The attic contains four early 19th-century sash windows of six lights and a central 19th-century casement. A central portico, with half-glazed double doors, sits forward, supported by twinned square piers. The entrance hall contains an elegantly curved staircase, D-shaped in plan, with a rosewood rail, pine stick balusters, and scrolled tread ends.
