Description

This cottage, located 20 meters northwest of Sparrows Farmhouse, is possibly a former service wing. It dates from the 17th century and features a timber frame with plaster, a gabled roof covered in peg tiles, and black weatherboarding on the south gable end. The weatherboarding is painted. On the southwest elevation, there are lean-tos with pantiled roofs. The northeast elevation has a projecting gabled oven chamber. Inside, the cottage contains old coppers, a large oven, and substantial timber-framed walls. The lean-to has old outside walls that display pargetting with various 'D' indentation patterns.
