Description

Oak Farm House is a house dating back to the 16th century or earlier, with alterations in later periods and an 18th and 19th century front wing. It is timber framed and has a rough render finish. The roofs are covered with red plain tiles, and the house has a double range with a rear wing. Red brick chimney stacks are located on the exterior right and left sides. The house is two storeys high, with a three-window front featuring various small-paned casement windows and vertically sliding sashes. Ground floor windows on either side have hipped, red-tiled window bays. A 20th-century board door is centrally positioned with a small-paned top light, sheltered by a flat canopy supported by brackets. Internally, significant timber framing is visible, including heavy, chamfered bridging joists. A red brick segmental arch fireplace with chamfered edges is present on the first floor, although it has been altered.
