Description
The gatepost and wicket gate at the south-west entrance to Stisted Hall Park date from the mid-19th century and are designed in the Gothic Revival style. The gatepost is made of cast iron and features four clustered semi-octagonal shafts, an enlarged head, and a ball finial, standing at an overall height of 2.30 metres. The gate itself has a scrolled and floriate design with a spiked top rail, measuring 1.57 metres high and 0.86 metre wide. The hinges are mounted on a 20th-century pier made of gault brick. This structure dates back to the ownership of Onley Savill Onley, also known as Harvey, from 1843 to 1890.
