Description
Sheepcote Farmhouse is a late 16th century or early 17th century timber-framed and plastered house, designed in an L-shaped plan with wings extending to the north-east and south-east. The south-west front was re-faced in the 18th century with red brick, featuring a parapet and raised brick bands above the ground and first storey windows. The building has two storeys and a four-window range with casement windows. The roof is tiled and hipped, topped with a central chimney stack that has sunk rectangular panels. The south-west front displays a panel inscribed "Rebuilt 1785 AH." Additionally, there is an early 16th century barn located to the south-west of the house, which has been re-roofed with corrugated iron.
