Description
The Bell Inn and the shop adjoining to the left is a public house and shop that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tiled roof that has gables on both the left and right sides. To the left, there is a single-storey shop with a two-level roof. The structure features central and left red brick chimney stacks and stands two storeys high.
The façade has a four-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes, with the ground floor windows having horns. There are two panelled doors with small paned glazing and lights above, flanked by fluted pilasters, convex friezes, and moulded flat canopies, all accessed by two steps. The single-storey range on the left includes a glazed central door and two shop windows with glazing bars. Inside, there are chamfered ceiling beams and door heads.
