Description
The archway and stable block, located 50 metres south west of Auberies, dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of gault brick with hipped slate roofs. It forms a 'U' shaped group with a large central block that rises to two storeys. The central section features a semi-circular arch with an infilled tympanum and a double hung sash window. On either side, there are blind arch-headed recesses. The walls are adorned with brick dentilled eaves cornices, and the centre is topped with a painted timber cupola that includes a clock face, an arched open stage above, and a pyramidal slate roof. At the outer corners, there are semi-circular link blocks with slate roofs and blind colonnading.
