Description

This is an early 16th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on Bradford Street. The west front has a jet tie on the first storey and a moulded and carved bressumer supported by carved brackets. The first storey retains exposed timber framing, while the ground storey is partially plastered and partially weatherboarded. The house has two storeys and a six-window range. Two windows are original, featuring oak mullions and lattice leaded lights, and one has a carved and moulded sill. The remaining windows are casements with glazing bars. A cart entrance is located at the south end. The roofs are tiled. The building was used as a museum in 1972.
