Description

The building is an office, likely originally a workshop, constructed between 1853 and 1875. It is architecturally aligned with the adjacent western mill building to the north. The structure is built of red bricks laid in a Flemish bond pattern and has a slate roof. It is a single-story building. The north front features five large, fixed casement windows, and a later porch supported by two wooden posts, concealing 20th-century patio doors. The south front has six fixed casement windows. A circular oculus is located in the gable end. The building contributes significantly to the group value of the Isinglass Factory’s main tannery building.
