Description
Brook House is a house that dates from the 18th century or earlier, with a date of 1789 noted in a sunk panel on the chimney. It features a timber frame and is plastered with batten decoration. The roof is hipped and covered with red plain tiles, and there is a moulded and dentilled eaves cornice. A central red brick chimney stack is present. The house has two storeys, with a five-window range on the first floor and a four-window range on the ground floor. The ground floor windows are 20th-century leaded three-light windows with transoms, except for a two-light central window on the first floor. There is a 20th-century red tiled open porch supported by timber, leading to a 20th-century board door with a light.
