Description

The wall of the pond, located in the middle of a walled-in garden 120 metres east of Stisted Hall, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone and has a circular shape with an approximate diameter of 5 metres. The wall stands about 1 metre high above the flat bottom of the pond and features a wide moulded rim. This structure is depicted on the tithe map from 1839, which is held at the Essex Record Office.
