Description
The building is a byre located 45 metres south-east of Tilekiln Farmhouse, dating from around 1810. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with timber framing and weatherboarding, and has a roof covered with black glazed pantiles. The main structure consists of two parallel ranges aligned northwest-southeast, featuring an open-fronted byre on the northeast side and a fully enclosed building to the southwest. The interior has not been inspected. There are brick linking walls to the southwest that connect to a yard, which originally housed three matching pig-sties. This byre is part of a remarkably well-preserved farm complex from the Napoleonic War period, along with items 9/38, 9/39, and 9/40.
