Description
This garden ornament, located in the center of the open court east of the Library of Sawston Village College, was created in 1930. It is made of stone and is a replica of a Venetian-style well head. The ornament features a carved block that transitions from round to square at the head, with carved scrolls at each corner, and it stands on a stone slab. This piece is part of the original design for the courtyard by H. Morris.
