Description

Madingley Mill is a post mill that dates from the 20th century and is located at Mill Farm on Madingley Hill. It is timber-framed and weatherboarded, standing on a brick plinth. The mill features a boat cap and four patent sails. It was relocated from Ellington in Huntingdonshire in 1936. Inside the mill, there is an inscription stating, "Walter Ambrose Harding of Madingley Hall caused this Windmill to be brought from Ellington in Huntingdonshire and to be rebuilt here on the site of the old mill which fell down in July 1909. Mr C J Ison, builder of Histon finished it the 1st June 1936."
