Description
The Old Rectory is a house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from gault brick and features slate roofs, with a hipped range to the south and internal and end stacks. The building has two parallel and adjoining ranges and stands two storeys tall. The main elevation faces west and includes two first-floor twelve-pane hung sashes, although one of these is now blocked. There is a doorway with a moulded doorcase and an early 19th-century half-glazed door. On either side of the doorway, there is a similar hung sash and a contemporary canted bay. The garden front has four window bays, with recessed twelve-pane hung sashes on the first floor and four full-length casements on the ground floor. The north wall, which faces the church, features a doorway with a moulded doorcase. The building is included for its group value.
