Description

This barn, located approximately 18 metres to the east of Number 10 (Manor Farmhouse), dates from the late 15th century or early 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weather boarded, topped with a hipped roof covered in plain tiles. The barn features five aisled bays and has a central entry porch with double doors that are offset, along with a pedestrian door. Inside, the roof is supported by wind-braced side purlins and a crown post roof in the porch area. There is a passing brace connecting the tie beam to the aisle post, and the structure includes edge-halved scarf joints.
