Description

The village water pump, located on the roadside 20 yards from Striplands Farmhouse, dates from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and is elevated on an original brick base, which includes steps and a railing leading to the platform. The pump features panelled sides, a moulded cornice, and an ogee cap topped with a finial. There is a manufacturer's plate in cast iron that reads: "Bamford Frost protected Lift Pump."
