Description

Chestnuts is a mid-19th century house, possibly with earlier origins. It is constructed of gault brick with a red brick tiled roof arranged in a diaper pattern using lighter red tiles. A gable end stack is located on the left-hand side, and a plastered ridge stack is positioned to the right of centre. The main parallel range fronts the street, with later additions to the rear. A slightly projecting gabled entrance features a door with six raised and fielded panels. The ground floor has three, three-light transomed casement windows, and the first floor has four smaller, similar windows, all with chamfered flat arches.
