Description

Brookside is a cottage dating from the 17th century and early 19th century. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure with a weatherboarded rear extension. The roofs are thatched and slate, and there is a gault brick ridge stack. The building has one storey and an attic, with a crosswing on the left side that extends to the rear. There are two attic windows and one dormer window, all of which are horizontal sliding sash windows. On the ground floor, there is one horizontal sliding sash window and two small single-light windows, along with a boarded door to the right. Inside, the cottage has stop-chamfered ceiling beams and exposed timber-frame elements.
