Description

No. 16, Lower Street is an early 19th-century cottage. It is constructed of painted brick and roughcast render over a timber frame, with a low-pitched slate roof and shallow gable parapets. The cottage is two storeys high and is attached to Cockrans Farmhouse by a rear lean-to. It features a central boarded door, along with two ground-floor and two first-floor horizontal sliding sash windows. The building is included on the heritage register for group value.
