Description

The windmill at Mill Cottage, located on West Wratting Mill Road, is a smock mill built in 1726. It features a combination of brick and timber framing, which is weatherboarded and tarred, with a metal capping. The structure consists of three stages, including a brick ground stage that was added when it was converted to a tower mill. Each stage has a small modern window. The windmill received new sails and a tail pole in 1979. Inside, there are two underdriven grinding stones, and the machinery remains intact.
