Description

Rose Cottage is a late 17th to early 18th century timber-framed cottage located on the southwest side of High Street, West Wrattling. The building has been rendered and is topped with a long-straw thatched, half-hipped roof, featuring a red brick ridge stack. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, incorporating a single dormer window. While the three ground floor windows are 20th century replacements, a 18th or 19th century casement window remains in the southeast gable end. A single-bay addition with a thatched roof extends from the south side. Two casement windows are visible in the original openings at the northwest end.
