Description
Brook House is a row of four cottages, now combined into a single dwelling, dating to the 18th century. The walls are of clay bat, rendered and with a brick plinth. The roof is thatched, with long straw. The building has two shared red brick stacks from the 18th century, with the upper courses rebuilt in grey brick during the early 19th century. It is arranged in a single range and has one storey with attics containing four gable dormers. Four 20th-century metal casement windows are present. There are two doorways. Inside, abutting inglenook fireplaces are found, one for each original cottage, each with a lintel featuring stop-chamfer and run-out stops.
