Description
The Chequers Public House is a house that has been converted into a public house, dating from around 1840. It features a timber frame with plaster rendering and a low-pitched hipped slate roof. The building has two symmetrical internal stacks made of gault brick and is designed in a double pile layout. It stands two storeys tall and has a range of three flush frame hung sash windows, each with twelve panes, on the first floor. The entrance is now located in a late 20th-century gabled porch at the front.
