Description

Riverside Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century, with an extension added at the east end in the mid to late 20th century. It features a timber frame, rendered exterior, and a long straw thatch roof. The cottage has a ridge stack and an end stack. It is designed with a three-bay lobby entry plan and is oriented with its end facing the road. The building has one storey and an attic, with two dormers—one gabled—and three casement windows that have leaded lights and narrow wooden drip boards. The doorway leading to the lobby entry is adorned with a cut bracketed hood.
