Description
Limberhurst Thatch is a cottage dating from the early 17th century, with extensions added in the late 17th to 18th centuries. The building features a timber-framed structure that is rendered and topped with long straw thatch, which has half-hipped ends on both the east and west sides. A ridge stack is present. The south side extension has created an L-shaped plan, connecting to the original single-range, three-bay cottage. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, and it includes two eyebrow dormers. There are three modern casement windows on either side of the baffle entry doorway. The south side extension, dating from the 18th to 19th century, is also framed, rendered, and thatched, featuring an end stack.
