Description

This is a cottage dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the 18th century and a 20th-century extension. It is timber-framed and has been plastered, with a half-hipped thatched roof and a gault brick ridge stack. The building was originally one storey, possibly with a bay added to the south, and now has an attic. Inside, there are two hearths relating to a late 17th or 18th-century chimney stack, inserted floors dividing the hall, and two original closed trusses with later 18th-century partitions. A four-panelled door is accompanied by an 18th-century leaded light casement window.
