Description

This is an 18th-century cottage, altered in the 19th century, located on the south-east side of High Street in Great Abington. The building is timber-framed and plastered, with a thatched roof and a gault brick ridge stack. It is a one-story and attic structure with a gable facing the street, comprising a two-unit plan. The north-east facing facade features two 20th-century casement windows on the ground floor, alongside a four-panelled door, and a tiled, gabled dormer window. Inside, a central stack supports two hearths, and slender, chamfered ceiling beams are present. The cottage was altered into two separate dwellings in the early 19th century.
