Description

The Methodist Chapel, built in 1851, is a Nonconformist chapel located on Church Street in Willingham. It is constructed of gault brick with some red brick incorporated into the side walls and features a slate roof with boarded eaves at the front. The chapel has a gable end facing the road and its front wall is divided into three recessed bays, each topped with elliptical, gauged brick arches, with the central bay being narrower. The windows are arranged in two stages, with one sixteen-pane recessed hung sash in each bay. The central entrance consists of double doors. Inside, the chapel has a square plan and includes a gallery, pews equipped with umbrella holders and drip trays.
