Description
This is an early 18th-century cottage, with a refronting dating to 1785, and 20th-century restoration to the gable end. It is constructed of local red brick, with gault brick to the front wall. The roof is tiled and has a mansard form, topped by a ridge stack. The gable end faces the street. The cottage is one storey high with attics, and features a 20th-century window in the attic and one to the ground floor. The ground floor window is set within an original arch, highlighted by a raised stone key block. Above the key block are two small stone panels; the upper panel is inscribed with the initials "T.B." and the lower panel bears the date 1785.
