Description

Osborne House is a house, now divided into two dwellings, dating to 1715. It is located on Church Street in Willingham. The construction is a mix of soft red brick with broad mortar courses, timber framing, and rendered areas, particularly visible on the left-hand gable end. The right-hand gable end was rebuilt in its upper courses. The house has a steeply pitched roof now covered with corrugated iron, topped by a grey gault brick ridge stack. This stack incorporates a small recessed date panel inscribed with the year 1715. The house is arranged in a single range with a three-bay plan, featuring a lobby entry. It has two storeys, separated by a brick band. Original cambered header arches are visible above three window openings; one now has a mid-19th century flush frame sash window with four panes, while the other two have 20th-century replacements. Similar arches are above three later 19th-century windows and the doorway to the lobby entry. The lobby entrance has an early 19th-century reeded doorcase, although the doorway to number 45 is of the 19th century. The interior was not inspected.
