Description

The Cottage to the west of Newhouse Farmhouse is a late 17th-century building that was originally a dovehouse, with early 19th-century alterations. It is constructed with a timber frame and plaster, topped by a plain tiled hipped roof that features a gablet flight entry. The cottage has two storeys and includes two brick side stacks. On the ground floor, there are two horizontal sliding sash windows, and there are two more on the first floor. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled door, which is sheltered by a flat canopy supported by shaped brackets. Inside, the timber frame is exposed, showcasing its construction.
