Description

No. 48 is a cottage dating from the mid 17th century that was restored in the mid 20th century. It features a brick exterior that is painted and encases a timber frame, along with a front wall made of 20th-century brick. The roof is thatched with reed and has a half-hipped design on the left side. A ridge stack made of grey gault brick has diagonally set grouped shafts on a square base. The cottage has a lobby entry plan and consists of one storey and an attic. There are three 20th-century windows and openings on the front wall, positioned on either side of the doorway that faces the stack.
