Description

This is an early 18th-century house, although it may have been altered in 1795. It is constructed of plum red brick with a steeply pitched asbestos roof that was originally thatched. The house features end parapets resting on kneelers, and an axial ridge stack, which is partly rebuilt. It follows a two-room lobby entry plan. The facade is symmetrical, with two 20th-century windows in the original openings on either side of a smaller 20th-century window. A central doorway is flanked by two further windows, all set within segmental arches. The date 1795 is inscribed in brick above the doorway, although the house appears to be of earlier origin. The interior has not been inspected.
