Description

This is a late 17th-century cottage located on Caxton End in Bourn. It is timber-framed and has been plastered, with hipped thatched roofs. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, and includes a single-storey range to the west. There are three boarded doors and three windows, one of which is a horizontal sliding sash window. A casement dormer window is also present, and a red brick ridge stack rises from the roof. The cottage is documented in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments’ West Cambs volume, on page 26, entry 34.
