Description
Middle Farmhouse is a farmhouse with origins dating back to the late 17th century, which was altered in the 18th century. The building is timber-framed and features an 18th-century casing made of local gault brick. It has a plain tiled roof that is double gabled, with flush end stacks and parapet gable ends supported by kneelers. The original layout consists of two parallel and adjoining ranges, and the structure includes a cellar, two storeys, and attics.
A notable feature is the four brick plat bands that run between the storeys, extending around the gable ends and at the eaves height of the gable ends. The symmetrical facade showcases three hung sash windows and two modern canted bay windows flanking the doorway. Inside, some timber framing is visible, along with stop-chamfered ceiling beams and inglenook hearths made of red brick.
