Description
Cheyney Water Farmhouse is a 17th-century house, later renovated and extended in the 20th century. The house has a timber frame, now covered with a cement render. It has a plain tiled roof with a gault brick ridge stack located to the right of the centre. A tarred brick plinth runs along the base. The original entrance is a 19th-century four-panelled door, positioned within the original cross passage. There are four 20th-century casement windows, and three first-floor windows, including two horizontal sliding sash windows. The interior reveals the exposed timber frame and floor frames. Inglenooks provide features to the open hearth, incorporating three niches.
