Description

Mole Barn is a cottage dating to the 17th century, with 20th-century alterations and renovation. It is timber-framed with roughcast rendering, a painted brick plinth, and thatched roofs. The cottage has a two-unit plan, with a single-storey range to the rear. A tall central brick ridge stack and a reduced side stack are present. There is a 20th-century gabled porch entrance, two ground-floor casement windows, and two eyebrow casement dormer windows. The interior features a cross passage behind a hearth constructed of coursed limestone rubble with some dressed stones. Exposed timber framing and floor frames are visible.
