Description
1 and 2 Cromwell Terrace are mid-19th century, double-fronted buildings that stand two storeys tall. Each building features five windows, with number 2 showcasing an open pediment. The roofs are slated and have bracketed projecting eaves. The buildings are constructed of gault brick and have gauged flat brick arches above the recessed sash windows, which retain their original glazing bars. The round-arched doorways are adorned with fanlights and panelled doors, and there is a continuous elaborate cast iron verandah on the ground floor. Number 2 includes splayed bay windows on the ground floor that extend to the first floor on one side, as well as a round-arched pedimented window on the first floor with a lunette window above. These buildings are part of a group that includes Slepe House and Nos. 1 to 5 Cromwell Terrace, as well as Nos. 1 to 8 Cromwell Place.
