Description

No 47 and No 49 on Main Road are two 17th century cottages that are one storey high with attics. They are timber framed and covered in painted brick, featuring thatched roofs with rebuilt end stacks. The cottages have three dormer windows on the first floor, one of which is a small horizontal sliding sash with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are three large casement windows and one horizontal sliding sash. There is one plank door in its original position and one blocked door. Inside No 49, there is an inglenook hearth, stop-chamfered ceiling beams, and exposed timber framing.
