Description
Magdalene House and Dove Cote is an early 17th century farmhouse located on the south side of Huntingdon Road in Wyton. The building is two storeys high and has four bays, featuring a continuous jetty. It has a three-unit plan with a lobby entry and is constructed from timber-frame with rough-cast rendering. The roof is thatched, consisting of two levels and hipped to the right side, with a large ridge stack. There are three casement windows on both floor levels, and the door is aligned with the stack.
Inside, the house has ovolo-moulded ceiling beams and two inglenook hearths. The staircase is situated in its original position beside the stack, and there is framing for a garderobe in the east gable wall.
