Description

Doddington Cottage is a two-storey, double-fronted house dated 1884, featuring a plaque with a medieval quatrefoil made of Barnack stone. The building is constructed of dressed stone and gault brick, topped with a slate roof and an outshut. There is a moulded stone band that runs between the two storeys. On the first floor, there are two hung sash windows with central glazing bars, each set in stone architraves with corbelled lintels. The ground floor has two similar windows flanking a central doorway, which includes a fanlight and a plank door. The east gable displays two medieval carved heads and window tracery.
