Description
67 High Street is a cottage and barn located in Upwood, dating from the late 17th century and 19th century. The cottage features a 19th-century brick front wall in English bond and a south end wall made of later 19th-century white brick. It is likely that timber-framing remains within the cottage, and a former tie beam can be seen in the front wall. The building is one storey with an attic, featuring two dormers with horizontal sliding sashes from the 19th century, along with three similar windows on the ground floor. The barn, which dates from the late 17th century, has an exposed timber frame with later brick infill and an original roof that is now covered with tin. It consists of three bays and has short upward wall bracing, with the north end weather-boarded.
