Description
The Manor House is a late 17th century or early 18th century building located on the north side of The Green in Hilton. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped plain tiled roof with a moulded wood eaves cornice. The house is two storeys high with attics and includes three flat-roof dormers that have hung sash windows. The left-hand dormer has a moulded cornice. The front of the house has a symmetrical arrangement of three hung sash windows with glazing bars, along with a moulded brick band between the floors. On either side of the central doorway, there are two 19th century tripartite hung sashes with glazing bars. The entrance has a modern flat canopy and doorcase, although part of the original structure is still visible. At the rear, there is a later outshut that incorporates an original projecting gabled stair turret.
