Description
The White Cottage is a late 17th-century house located on the north side of Denham Village Road. It is constructed of red brick with shaped gabled ends and has an old tile roof. The house is two storeys high. On the ground floor, there are five double-hung sash windows set flush with the wall, each with a cambered brick relieving arch and tile sills. The windows have shutters and glazing bars. The first floor has one 2-light and one 4-light casement window centrally positioned; the end windows have been restored and incorporated into gabled dormers. The front door is six-panelled and has a hood supported by three brackets. A brick band runs along the first-floor sill level. There is a large ridge stack over the front door and a smaller stack at the West end.
