Description
Hills House is a late 17th-century building located on Denham Village Road. It is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys tall with a tiled roof featuring four gables that are alternately shaped and stepped. The front of the house is partly covered by an old wisteria.
On the left-hand section, there is a range of six double-hung sash windows that are set flush, featuring glazing bars and rubbed flat brick arches. Small brick cornice mouldings are present, and the ground floor entrance door is framed with a wooden architrave and hood supported by three carved brackets. This section also has five double-hung sash windows, with brick bands on the ground and first floors. The gables have brick copings, and the left gable includes a circular panel with a two-light casement window that has glazing bars.
In the right-hand section, there is one window range, with windows that have cambered brick relieving arches. The interior is said to contain a semi-circular recess with fluted pilasters and a moulded cornice, along with a newel staircase, both made of 17th-century oak.
