Description

This is a barn located about 20 yards southwest of Home Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, weatherboarded exterior, and features a half-hipped roof covered in long straw thatch. The barn has a three-bay plan and may have a later addition of a gabled porch or cart bay on the north side. It has been converted into two storeys throughout, although it originally had a floored west bay. The west gable end includes a pitch opening leading to the loft. A similar building is shown on the 1742 Estate Map.
