Description
The building consists of almshouses, dated 1840, with the inscription 'Industry Rewarded Age Protected'. They are constructed from yellow gault brick and feature a low-pitched hipped slate roof with two ridge stacks. The structure is two storeys high and has a symmetrical plan of six bays, with two projecting, two-storey porches, each topped with gabled roofs and bargeboards.
On the first floor, there are four three-light casement windows with lattice lights and stone drip moulds. The ground floor has four similar, but larger, windows. Each porch contains two two-light fixed windows with lattice lights and drip moulds, along with entrances that feature double oak doors shaped to two-centred brick arches with drip moulds.
