Description

Stable Cottage, also known as Two Ways, is a group of three dwellings located on Church Lane in Fenstanton. The original building, No 14, dates back to the 17th century and features a three-unit plan. Nos 8 and 10 are 18th-century gable end additions. The row is one storey high with attics and has rendered, timber-framed walls topped with plain tile roofs. There are two ridge stacks, one on the right made of local brick with reduced engaged shafts. The buildings have six hung sash windows with glazing bars and two modern doors. Additionally, there are three hipped casement dormer windows with glazing bars. To the left, there is a single-storey range made of rough-cast brick and pantiles, which includes modern casement windows and a door. Inside No 14, there are two inglenook hearths, one of which is sealed, and a moulded and carved ceiling beam.
